FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: $52,000 base salary + commission (estimated annual earnings: $75,000–$125,000)
Location: Optimal Health, Eagle, Idaho
Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving the growth of Functional Medicine of Idaho’s (FMI) revenue through innovative sales strategies, exceptional client relationship management, and dynamic leadership of the Care Coordinator team. This role oversees the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation to conversion—and ensures alignment with clinical, operational, and marketing functions to maintain an exceptional client experience.
In addition to managing sales performance and KPIs, the Sales Manager is responsible for developing Care Coordinators, implementing individualized development plans, managing compensation structures (including commissions), and maintaining accurate reporting to inform leadership decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop, implement, and refine sales strategies to achieve revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Manage and monitor the full sales pipeline from inquiry to conversion, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing conversion rates
- Explore and pursue new markets, partnerships, and revenue opportunities aligned with FMI’s mission
- Collaborate with leadership to create competitive pricing models and compelling value propositions
Client Relationship Management
- Build lasting relationships with new and existing clients, prospective leads, referral partners, and community stakeholders
- Attend and represent FMI at local events, health expos, business groups, and community outreach programs
- Oversee timely, professional communication with all inbound and outbound leads to support conversion and retention
Care Coordinator Leadership & Development
- Supervise, train, and mentor the Care Coordinator team, ensuring alignment with company standards, brand messaging, and service expectations
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team huddles, and coaching sessions
- Establish clear KPIs and performance benchmarks for Care Coordinators, with regular reporting to leadership
- Partner with HR to manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of Care Coordinators
- Create and oversee individual development plans (IDPs) for all team members to support ongoing professional growth
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and motivation within the Care Coordinator team
Commission & Compensation Oversight
- Maintain and communicate commission structures in partnership with HR and Finance
- Track performance-based pay metrics and ensure timely, accurate documentation for payroll processing
- Collaborate with HRBP on merit increases, spot bonuses, and team recognition tied to sales performance
Data, Reporting & Optimization
- Maintain accurate records of sales metrics, pipeline activity, and conversion data within CRM
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for leadership review
- Use data analytics to evaluate market trends, refine outreach strategies, and inform forecasting
Cross Department Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns, promotional efforts, and messaging with lead generation goals
- Coordinate with operations and patient experience teams to ensure a smooth handoff and seamless onboarding for new clients
- Provide client feedback and trend analysis to clinical and leadership teams to inform service improvements and innovation
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (or equivalent career experience), Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales management, client experience, or business development
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales or conversion goals in a performance-driven environment
- Experience supervising a team and managing performance-based models
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with CRM tools and data tracking systems
- Experience in healthcare, wellness, or functional medicine preferred
