Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant (Sales Tax Assistant) to join our team. In this role, you will support sales tax operations by handling registrations, preparing and mailing returns, and managing communication with state Departments of Revenue. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and submit Sales/Use Tax registrations.
- Print, prepare, and mail Sales/Use Tax returns.
- Contact state Departments of Revenue for status updates.
- Follow up on registrations and respond to notices.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and organizing.
- Assist project managers with other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage time
- Sales tax experience or exposure preferred.
