SALARY: The salary range for this position is:
$49,059.79 to $77,331.24 for Schedule A
and
$49,059.79 to $73,464.67 for Schedule B
For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Position Duties
The Ocean Vicinage is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented paraprofessional to provide support to the Trial Court Administrator (Court Executive 3b) and EEO/AA Officer (Court Executive 1b) in the daily operations of the courthouse. The selected candidate will act as a lead worker and perform both paraprofessional and mastery level clerical functions in support of the business operations of the Judiciary.
The selected candidate will possess excellent administrative, reasoning, technical, teamwork and customer service skills. This position handles a high volume of confidential information, and the selected candidate will need to demonstrate conscientiousness in their day-to-day practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Review and analyze communications received in the TCA Office and take appropriate action.
Communicate with employees, judges, attorneys, community organizations, and members of the public for needed information and document appropriately.
Explain Judiciary policies or procedures and make referrals as appropriate.
Prepare meeting agendas and record minutes for various committees.
Coordinate and manage calendars, including the TCA and Human Resources Conference Rooms.
Act as a lead worker for the EEO/AA Advisory Committee.
Order and maintain supplies for the TCA and EEO Offices.
Prepare for and staff outreach events and diversity programs.
Maintain statistical data and records for complaints, recruitments, workforce, training, and other EEO/AA areas of responsibility.
Assist with the preparation of confidential monthly and quarterly tracking reports.
Work on multiple assignments while ensuring effective time management and prioritization.
Recommend improvements in work processes and administrative practices.

Minimum Qualifications
Testing: Applicants selected to interview must pass an appointing authority administered examination to demonstrate keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of at least 25 words per minute, or must have otherwise demonstrated this competency as detailed below.
The appointing authority administered examination is waived for the following applicants who have been deemed to possess keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of 25 words per minute:
- All applicants who possess a current typing proficiency certification issued by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission or the New Jersey Judiciary.
- Judiciary staff that have permanent status in a career service title requiring a keyboarding, typing or stenography test.
- Judiciary staff in unclassified titles requiring a keyboarding, typing or stenography test.
Other Qualifications
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting. All data received will be kept in strict confidence except to inform the individual of the findings and what action will be taken as a result of this information.
Residency Law: In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
