Summary/Objective 

The Utility Truck Driver is responsible for the timely delivery of food/meals and other supplies to the auxiliary locations for the hospital:  Fannin Behavioral Health, Mid Jefferson, Cancer Center, Outpatient Resident Facility and/or others as deemed necessary.  In addition, this position supports all other functions of the department as needed or directed by management. 

Essential Job Duties

1. Ensures that all units and equipment are maintained and cleaned according to local and hospital required food safety standards.
2. Transports food and supplies from main kitchen to satellite locations on time and ensures that the correct items are delivered to the correct locations.  
3. Assist with taking carts with meals and whatever other items are ordered or needed to the locations in Fannin for the residents and then picking up said carts and returning them to the kitchen.
4. Maintain a current, valid Texas Drivers License and obey all traffic laws.  Maintain the vehicles; ensuring the truck and department delivery car have gas and that the monthly inspection report is completed and handed in. 
5. Position will assist with dishes if needed and also help to put away deliveries as time permits.  During downtime, assist in Fannin cafeteria with dishes and the taking out of trash as well as mopping kitchen floor as time permits. 
6. Any other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience

1 year of truck driving experience preferred

Required License/Certifications

Valid Texas Driver’s License
