About the Department
Position Duties
The temporary HR Generalist will assist the Human Resources & Organizational Development (HROD) Team with administrative training, and onboarding needs including:
- Preparing administrative documentation for HR policies.
- Managing department data and reports (assisting with vacancy report.
- Performance metrics.
- Assisting with monthly Department orientation which may include correspondence with new hires and respective hiring managers.
- Initiating and reviewing background checks on top candidates being considered for the department.
- Assisting in completing salary worksheets from hiring managers and ensuring a proper salary is being offered.
- Obtaining necessary approval for the salary worksheet and upload documents into applicant tracking system.
- Conducting a weekly recruiting check-in with Hiring Manager and Liaisons to stay informed of where each position is at in the interview process.
- Assisting in presenting Interview Training as needed.
- Posting open jobs in applicant tracking system.
- Assisting Hiring Managers on reclassifications and classifications.
- Tracking Department vacancies and hires in the Vacancy Report
- Performing other tasks in support of recruitment, selection and hiring.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; one (1) year of related work experience in the assigned area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Human Resources Certification.
Other Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
- DMV, criminal and credit background checks required.
- This position has a Position of Trust designation.
