The Access Quality Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Financial Assistance Coordinators, ensuring organization compliance with Financial Assistance Policy. The manager will have responsibility of oversight of the Revenue Cycle Training team, as well as PRN registration team members. Team members will utilize technology to accurately provide estimates, adhering to pricing transparency guidelines, as well as no surprise billing regulations. The Access Quality Manager will be the project lead for Registration Quality products utilized within the organization by both acute and physician enterprise alike. The manager will share with organization leaders' data regarding quality outcomes of registrations and deploy training material and sessions as needed. The manager will work directly with Case Management to properly facilitate patient financial need of patients. This position will work closely with division and organization leaders to continually assess BHC financial assistance program as well as training opportunities for all revenue cycle access functions in physician enterprise as well as acute positions. The manager will support other Access leaders with coverage needs and open communication in respect to the PRN team. The Access Quality Manager will ensure onboarding of Access related team member functions are provided in a professional and educational manner with utmost integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising the multiple facets of patient access services.
  • Understands all regulatory agency requirements (i.e. Joint Commission, HIPPA, EMTALA, OIG, and CMS ect.) and ensures deployment and compliance of regulatory requirements to staff
  • Ensure PAS Registration staff participates fully with Patient Access Staff Registration program to consolidate pre-registration certification/authorization, scheduling, financial counseling and other process to ensure customers have efficient and convenient access to health care services
  • Emphasizes high level of patient satisfaction, being sensitive to all standards of performance and leadership core standards, and ensuring staff lives up to this standard
  • Responsible to maintain a competent, highly trained staff and ensure a high level of accuracy and completeness from scheduling, pre-registration, financial clearance process, through discharge.
  • Develop with Core Trainer and maintain an effective training program that will ensure all staff is sufficiently prepared to perform their duties
  • Maintaining Baptist Health Care goals of registration accuracy, insurance verification, pre-registration, pre-certification, up-front collections, and other healthcare industry standards or trends in which Patient Access Services metrics of measurement are based
  • Ensure to meet Industry Standards for registrations and POS Collections, plus continually measured for monthly Dashboard
  • Is responsible for department’s operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.l policies and standards.
  • Manage team members which include orientation, development and evaluation of personnel, and monitoring the provision of delivering quality services. Participates in the recruiting, interviewing and selecting of team members following policies, guidelines and applicable laws. Evaluates their performance relative to job goals and requirements. Provides coaching to staff, recommends in-service education programs, and ensures adherence to internal policies and standards.
  • Is responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organization’s financial resources.
  • Effectively communicates departmental, organization, and industry information to staff.

Qualifications


Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required


Minimum Work Experience

  • 4-6 years experience with previous healthcare revenue cycle experience Required
  • Previous supervisory experience or leadership role Preferred
