Position Summary:We are actively recruiting for an ASC Medical Assistant to join our growing team at Midwest Eye Center.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with Laser procedures
- Assist with Room turnover for surgeries
- Obtaining and documenting patient history
- Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by the physician
- Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
- Providing patient services
- Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed
- Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location
- Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly
- Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients
- Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Administrative Director and the Medical Director and Nurse Manager.
- Maintaining equipment and instruments
- Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
- Must be flexible with traveling to various locations as needed
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
- The ability to recognize inconsistencies
- Performing other duties as required

• Medical office experience preferred
• CPR certified
Education:
• Graduation from an accredited high school
