Our 2nd Shift Material Handler role offers a 4/10 schedule (Monday–Thursday), a 30-minute paid lunch, and a $2/hour shift differential for evening hours. You’ll keep the shop running smoothly while enjoying long weekends, steady work, and extra pay for your time.
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM, with a paid lunch break. You’ll handle incoming and outgoing shipments, verify materials against orders, and keep production stocked and ready. Using forklifts, motorized equipment, and overhead cranes, you’ll safely move and organize materials to keep workflow on track. If you’re organized, safety-minded, and ready to make an impact, this is the shift for you.
What You'll Do:- Work 2nd Shift (4:00 PM–2:00 AM)
- Facilitate efficient and timely workflows by moving materials to and from the processing areas, point of operation, blasting area, painting area, the queue areas for completed materials, etc.
- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Organize and maintain storage and work areas for ease of access and identification of products by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and safe
- Communicate with shop supervisors on needs in various areas of the shop to include material staging, consumables, and equipment
- Complete and manage all required and relevant paperwork related to incoming materials, outgoing materials, and stocked materials
- Unload incoming material deliveries to include verifying the load ticket and physical material versus the purchase order
Working Conditions
- Sit, stand, talk, hear, read, and write
- Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms, climb in and out of equipment such as forklifts, etc.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Work both inside and outside in harsh weather conditions
- 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred
- Experience with moving material using motorized equipment such as fork lifts and overhead cranes required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to use basic measuring devices such as tape measures
- Possess knowledge of metal plate types (steel, aluminum, stainless, galvanized, etc.), sizes, and shapes (beams, channels, angles, pipe, flat bar, etc.) preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
