Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Neurologist to join the Neurology department as a clinician in the Progressive Neurological Diseases (PND) clinic.

 

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

 

Services are provided through our five main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

 

About the Role:

 

The Northern Health PND clinic is a multidisciplinary service that manages patients with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and related conditions. 

 

This role will involve the clinical management of patients with MND and includes:

  • Attendance at the PND clinic at Bundoora Centre
  • Working within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Co-ordinating care with Nursing, Respiratory and Palliative care physicians and allied health staff
  • Attendance at a twice monthly case-conference session

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience and good working knowledge of Neurodegenerative disease including Motor Neurone Disease
  • Proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed skills in diagnosis and symptom management in MND
