About the role: 

 

We’re seeking a Technical Sales Lead to translate technical capabilities into compelling solutions that solve real customer problems in mobility, infrastructure, and government sectors. 

 

You’ll join an innovative team, who leads the technical components of Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposal (RFPs), and unsolicited proposals in collaboration with our Technology and Development teams. 

 

As our Technical Sales Lead, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work. 

 

Day-to-day, you will: 

  • Lead technical strategy for venture sales across tolling, digital mobility, congestion management, and infrastructure services. 

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for diverse audiences. 

  • Design solution architectures and integration plans during pre-sales, ensuring feasibility and scalability. 

  • Drive technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and proposals in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. 

  • Support pricing and delivery planning by assessing technical requirements, timelines, and resource needs. 

  • Engage directly with customers and partners, delivering tailored demos, workshops, and technical briefings. 

  • Ensure market readiness by validating product maturity, compliance, and system performance. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with New Ventures, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Development to align strategy and execution. 

 

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including: 

  • 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, systems architecture, or enterprise technology consulting. 

  • Proven success supporting complex sales cycles, especially within government, infrastructure, or transportation sectors. 

  • Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of digital platforms, cloud/SaaS architectures, system integration, and data interoperability. 

  • Familiarity with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), tolling systems, Mobility as a Service (MaaS), or urban infrastructure technologies is a strong advantage. 

  • Skilled in Request for Anything (RFx) management, customer discovery, and crafting compelling technical proposals. 

  • Excellent communicator, coupled with a demonstrated ability to build trust and engage with executive leaders and technical stakeholders. 

  • Agile and innovative capabilities to work comfortably in a fast-paced and early-stage environment.

We are open to considering candidates who either reside in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area, are within a reasonable commuting distance to Tysons Corner and Alexandria, VA and/or are willing to relocate at their own expense. Candidates who reside in the DMV area will be prioritized.
