The Opportunity
Lesley University’s Department of Expressive Therapies is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: GEXTH 7719 (FL25) and 7721 (SP26), Expressive Therapies: Dance Therapy Supervision II and III, Fall 2025, In-person, Th 12:55 PM - 3:25 PM (both Fall and Spring).
Course Description: This is the first semester of a year-long supervision seminar in expressive arts therapy and clinical mental health counseling. Students explore case material, group dynamics, and the use of the expressive therapies. There is a focus on the advancement of clinical competencies in expressive therapy and mental health counseling, including diagnosis, assessment, treatment planning and termination. Professional identity and preparation for entry into the field via licensure and credentialing are addressed.
Qualifications and Capabilities
A successful candidate will have:
Massachusetts LMHC, Registered Drama Therapist (RDT),
Master's degree required (PhD preferred), with experience in clinical supervision
Successful clinical supervision of interns at field sites as well as group supervision
Successful teaching experience at the graduate level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The same adjunct faculty must be available to teach the course in Fall 25 and Spring 26.
