Tell me more about this role, what would I be doing?

Summary: The Technical Business Analyst (TBA) will work directly with our internal team to identify and document business requirements for application features and enhancements. The TBA must be a self-starter and initiate work with minimal direction. This SME position will require knowledge of the Enterprise Applications and integration points. The TBA will assist in the development, documentation and implementation of solutions per business requirements.

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Experience creating technical documentation, such as business requirements and/or functional requirements, by working with technical staff, managers and end-users.

  • Experience deconstructing technological solutions for the purpose of documentation of current products and processes.

  • Experience performing, analyzing, and documenting gap analysis (i.e., current process vs. proposed process).

  • Participate in the development of documentation for end users. Conduct and coordinate training as assigned.

  • Assisting with application program testing, and quality assurance as required to vet veracity of business specifications. 

  • Ability to work closely with development, operational and functional departments as necessary (i.e., technical and non-technical staff).

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to act as a liaison between business users and the technical  staff to write and assess new business requirements and change requests.

  • Provide input to the development of software test plans and execute as needed in support of application changes and bug fixes. 

  • Develop work breakdowns, project plans and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones for project implementations.

  • Experience leading and directing project teams.

  • Coordinate and support project and application releases.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and on-the-job experience.

  • 2-5 years of software application testing experience.

  • 2-5 years of technical documentation creation experience

  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar position

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Preferred

  • 3+ years of technical business analysis and/or quality assurance preferred

  • Experience with Jira, Tempo, Confluence, and Smartsheet desired

Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:

  • Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.

  • Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day.

  • Vision sufficient for the use of a computer monitor.

  • Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.

  • Repetitive motion

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including skills, experience, work location and more.  We offer competitive pay while still allowing for compensation growth within the position and company.
