ABOUT THE POSITON
The teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Trade Tech and Community Learning campus or other college teaching locations. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online or off campus and is subject to change as needed. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure. Part-time faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. As one of the most diverse community college districts in southern California, we offer a wide range of opportunities in transfer, general education, vocational and occupational programs.

LOCAL Equivalency Standard
- Any bachelor’s degree or higher and two years professional experience or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.
- Professional experience from any of the following areas is required:
Graphic Design, 2D animation, 3D animation, Game Design, Illustration, Character Design, Concept Art, Comic Art, Visual Communications, Printing, Merchandise, Typography, Branding, Advertising, Art Direction, Creative Direction, Motion Graphics, Web/App Design, Multimedia OR - A Master’s Degree in Art, Studio Art, Digital Art, Game Design, Animation, Graphics or Graphic
Design, Web Design, Multimedia, Media Arts, 4D Art or Illustration
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous community college teaching experience.
- Media Arts class:
- We are seeking a Digital Media art generalist who can teach animation, video, game design, and more. Need an instructor with at least some experience working with the following software: Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Twine, Unity, and Maya.
- For Graphic Design class:
We are seeking experienced graphic designers to teach our graphic design classes. Must have working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

This includes transcripts for any and all for the following degrees, BA/BS, MA/MS and above (Ed.D, Ph,D, etc.) and courses used for transfer credit. Transcripts can be official or unofficial and must be submitted as an attachment. The conferral date must be on or before the application deadline in order to meet Minimum Qualifications.
