POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Associate Production Planner will be responsible for data entries associated with processing sales orders and work orders for Aloe Production. This position will be responsible for converting purchase orders into sales orders and converting sales orders into work orders. Upon completion of production the Production Planner will report finished good quantities produced. This position will work closely with the Planning Group, Purchasing, QA and Production.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Accept, review and accept purchase orders from TAKE.
- Collaborate on component deliveries
- Convert external purchase order into internal sales orders.
- Maintain the Master Production Schedule for Aloes
- Create work orders to fulfill sales orders.
- Issue work orders to Production
- Enter finished good quantities into TAKE.
- Review aged inventory and help identify solutions for usage
- Identify threats to the production schedule, and finding solutions to those threats.
- Order entry and scheduling in Quintiq
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in Production Planning in a Manufacturing environment required.
- (2 years of Herbalife Production experience in a multi-faceted communications role or lead manufacturing role with an understanding of Herbalife’s Electronic Batch record life cycle, how they are generated and how they are closed, may be substituted for Production Planning experience.)
- Knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Production Planning processes utilizing Oracle ERP or similar ERP system.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED-equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- AS/AA degree in business or related field or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics or Business Administration strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a production planning and inventory control environment.
- May substitute for specific Production Planning and Inventory Control experience as deemed appropriate.
- Experience in a nutritional business or equivalent environment.
- Experience in various vendor managed inventory programs within the Nutritional Supplement business.
- Proficiency in Oracle or similar Enterprise Resource Planning system.
