- Collaborate with Site and District Administration to identify aligned courses and engage post-secondary partners in developing articulation and/or dual enrollment agreements.
- Update course outlines and curriculum to align with state-adopted CTE standards and Common Core College and Career Anchor Standards.
- Engage Advisory Board in offering industry-relevant input on the "program of study", pathway map, and individual pathway/classroom projects.
- Collaborate with CTE Pathway Specialist and Site Administration to ensure proper procedures are implemented for site-specific WBL (professional development, goal setting, field trips, guest speakers, internships, data tracking of opportunities, liability coverage for internships, communicating with other staff (counselors, admin) about the opportunities with which students are engaged).
- Communicate effectively with Parent Liaison, Counselors, PBIS/RTI staff, site admin to ensure that they understand the pathway program and offerings.
- Support the development and facilitate the implementation of comprehensive pathway maps that include a sequential "program of study" and a comprehensive student intervention and incentive program.
- Coordinate incentives, academic achievement celebrations, and academy team building activities
- Collaborate with counselors and site administration to facilitate correct "program of study" scheduling of academy students
Communicate Academy Student Support/Intervention Plan, including a Pyramid of Interventions, to Site Admin, Counselors, PBIS Specialist, etc and collaborate with these to ensure implementation of the plan, including:
• Attendance
• Academic Achievement
• English Language Acquisition Support
• Special Populations Support
• Other (as identified by academy needs assessment and/or student data)Collaborate with Parent Liaison to plan parent/community meetings (at a minimum, 1 per term).
Coordinate and implement summer academy orientation.
- Development and ongoing monitoring of academy budget narrative; submit budget transfers.
- Academy Logistics: Schedule WBL Field Trips (work with CTE Pathway Specialists to ensure all paperwork and submissions done according to business office and board approval requirements), Conference/PD pre-approval paperwork, Extra-duty paperwork, schedule and plan bi-monthly academy meetings with academy support personnel (site administration, academy counselor(s), PBIS/RTI staff, Community Liaison, District Parent Involvement Specialist, etc.), Develop and monitor academy goals for progress toward Linked Learning Certification, submit orders to be input into SmartE, etc.
- Academy Identification: Develop, Plan, and Implement activities that build the academy identity (team building, coordinated support, academy norms, etc.)
- Develop yearly planning of WBL opportunities based on the WBL continuum to appropriately match student needs (in collaboration with the Pathway Connections Specialist).
- Manage the ordering and inventory of equipment.
- Support the Pathway mapping by developing WBL opportunities that align with the graduate profile, student learning outcomes, and post-secondary and industry input.
- In collaboration with the CTE Pathway Specialists and Pathway Connections Specialist... Help the academy to form/run effective Advisory Board Meetings.
- Communicate with Parent Liaison to invite parents to Advisory Board Meetings.
- Recruit industry partners, strengthen connections with industry, work with SBWIB and other industry/post-secondary partners to engage them as sponsors, guest speakers, mentors, advisory board members, and other Work Based Learning opportunities (Site-Specific).
- Manage the pathway Internship Program/Site Based Enterprise.
- Collaborate with Academy Coordinator, Pathway Connections Specialist, and CTE Pathway Specialist to identify appropriate WBL Field Trips.
- Serve as Advisor for Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO)/Sit Based Enterprise to support student engagement in academy.
- Identify and promote education and career opportunities.
- Consistent collaboration and communication with CTE Pathway Specialists to ensure that WBL/Site Based Enterprises work in conjunction with the broader academy WBL goals.
Support for this will come from Pathway Connections Specialist.
- Collaborate with the CTE Pathway Specialist and Academy Coordinator to develop a "Certificate of Completion" for students completing the full sequence of courses in an academy pathway.
- Research relevant industry certifications and collaborate with the WBL Coordinator on how to integrate them into the pathway map/curriculum.
- Plan and facilitate pathway learning walks.
- Attend pathway-specific professional development.
- Regularly access and analyze pathway data (in collaboration with WBL Coordinator) as it relates to meeting the state accountability requirements as well as progress towards Linked Learning Certification.
- In collaboration with the Pathway Specialist, complete and submit the annual academy report (including the CAPAAR report, budget narrative, expenditure report, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Pathway Connections Specialist to collect and analyze WBL data, including participation and effectiveness in meeting expected student learning outcomes.
- Regularly access and analyze pathway data as it relates to meeting the state accountability requirements as well as progress towards Linked Learning Certification.
- Engage in both informal (meetings) and formal (CVUHSD Academy Accountability System) progress monitoring and feedback with both the site and district administration.
- Support pathways by marketing and outreach to feeder schools, business and post-secondary partners, and other community stakeholders.
- Support pathways by establishing and maintaining a presence on campus and in the community.

DESCRIPTION:
Provide Leadership and Programmatic Coordination to support progress of the Small Learning Community towards Linked Learning Certification and/or improving student’s achievement on the College and Career Readiness Indicators.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility distribution for the following duties will be determined at the beginning of each year and through collaboration with each Academy Coordinator, Academy Leadership Team Position, site administrator, and district administrator. Different academies may have different responsibility distributions, but all responsibilities must be addressed by one of these roles:
