Hybrid Middle School - 8th Grade Special Education Teacher - Generalist bei 27J Schools - Brighton, Thornton & Commerce City

Prairie View Middle School, a 27J School, is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher - Generalist, to provide direct instructional inclusion and assessment services to 8th grade students with various types of disabilities. This position will provide push-in services in the ELA and Math general education classrooms and case manage 8th graders with IEPs.

1. A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License - Special Education Generalist.
2. Colorado Department of Education “In Field” by CDE endorsement or qualifications to teach the posted subject area.
3. The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
4. The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching  sustainable.)
5. The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).  
6. A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
