Responsible for managing, creating, evaluating and approving the demand forecast of assigned categories. Supports Forecast Manager in achieving service level objectives.

Five years of experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning, and/or materials requirement planning using corporate business statistical forecasting systems. SQL required. Professional business forecasting or APICS certification (CPF, ACPF, CPIM or equivalent) preferred.

Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning, and/or materials requirement planning using corporate business statistical forecasting systems. SQL required. Professional business forecasting or APICS certification (CPF, ACPF, CPIM or equivalent) preferred.

Determines and adjusts sales history, amount of history used or the forecast methods to increase the SKU level forecast accuracy.
Coordinates with planning, buying and store ops teams in determining like item, sister store and product life cycle phases.
Review and recap geographic market competitors, statistical trends and recommend action plan to minimize risk and right sizing inventories.
Analyze and monitor past performance, track and recommend changes to exception (alerts) parameters to optimize workload, improve forecast accuracy and inventory turns.
Identifies opportunities and risks across assigned categories; reconcile demand forecast to plan. Participates in S & OP and CPFR process.
May supervise associates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
