Shift Information:
The position is full time; working 7a-7p, three shifts per week.

What you will do:
The ICU Health Unit Coordinator performs clerical and telephone duties, enters physician orders and patient charges into the computer, and coordinates the services and supplies from other departments. This position requires recognition and interpretations of alarms on the EKG monitoring system. The ICU HUC handles potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks simultaneously. The ICU HUC also demonstrates alignment with the Mission, Vision, Values, and behavioral expectations of Peterson Health.
Required Education:
Oral and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, and transcribe the English language.
Preferred Education:
Specialized training in Medical Terminology.
Required Skills:
Computer entry, fax, telephone etiquette, customer service, recognition of dysrhythmias, ability to multitask
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge and ability to perform the skills necessary for the unit specific competencies. Ability to create and utilize word and excel documents
Required Experience:
Basic EKG course within 6 months of employment.
Basic EKG course within 6 months of employment.
Preferred Experience:
Secretarial experience in the medical field. Telemetry Tech experience. 12 lead EKG course.
