Key Responsibilities 

• Welcome members and their guests to the restaurant.
• Manage reservations.
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas.
• Provide menus and announce Server’s name.
• Greet customers upon their departure.
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
• Maintain a clean reception area.
• Cater to members and guests who require extra attention.
• Answer incoming calls and address member queries.
• Assists wait staff or bussers as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain valid California Food Handler Certification (FHC) and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification or obtain them within the timeframes required by California law. Food Handler Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. RBS Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• No specific degree required.
• 1 year Hostess experience helpful.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

Physical Requirements   

• Availability to work in shifts as needed.
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent carrying and twisting.
• Ability to reach, lift and stand while twisting.
• Ability to stoop, bend, stretch and reach on occasion throughout the shift.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
