Core Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, check in vehicles and educate the customer on the repair process.
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage and go over the damages with technicians.
- Determine feasibility of repair vs. replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Write complete and accurate estimates, invoice repairs, and order parts.
- Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimate and recommendations.
- Finalize repair tickets and follow up with insurance companies for final payment.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, providing regular updates and estimated completion times.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of prior collision estimator experience is required; familiarity with Mitchell & CCC1 estimating software preferred.
- Knowledgeable about insurance company guidelines.
- Strong customer service background with the ability to think from the customer’s perspective and show empathy for their situation.
- Reliable and motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Hours and Work Environment:
This role requires working in an office environment, frequently working with technicians in our climate-controlled shop, and occasionally maneuvering around or under vehicles to assess damages. Hours are Monday – Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm.
