Purpose of Position
This role has a critical function in the execution of production requirements and customer satisfaction through the procurement of raw materials at the right time and for the right quantity. Utilization of pull replenishment strategies to drive optimal inventory replenishment levels as well as make necessary strategy changes through the production cycle are critical and part of the key responsibilities for this role. The procedures involve direct contact with suppliers, transportation carriers, customer service, engineering, marketing, and operations staff to meet and exceed current and projected customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Utilize pull replenishment material strategy to execute Purchase Orders
•Lead and participate in pull replenishment deployment within production areas of the factory
•Change and drive optimal inventory levels through analysis of lead time, average daily usage, and other critical levers of materials systems analysis
•Responsible for Purchase Order maintenance with suppliers to drive supplier On Time Delivery improvements
•Manage item master data specific to material sizing inputs
•Monitor Purchase Orders and Late Purchase Orders with suppliers, and manage inventory levels to mitigate stock out risk
•Manage supplier consignment level by way of establishing and maintaining min/max/Reorder Point levels
•Drive Root Cause and Corrective actions to implement short term and permanent solutions at improved material flow
•Lead quarterly On Time Delivery review with key suppliers
•Frequently participate in, and lead, continuous improvement workshops (Kaizens) with cross-functional team members to improve quality, delivery, and productivity
•Manage material transfers, New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and End of Life (EOL) to support production and minimize material obsolescence
•Provide raw material forecasts to suppliers

Background and Skill
•Bachelor’s in business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering or 5 years planning experience if no bachelor’s degree
•Minimum of 2 years of materials replenishment experience
•Proficient understanding of material pull systems and methods
•Strong and proven track record of continuous improvement
•Capable to work without close supervision
•Functions effectively in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary environment
•Prone to take accountability and risks
