The District Manager leads and manages retail branch locations and is accountable for achieving business results. The District Manager will direct the delivery of services to members through Branch Managers and their teams, including Member Services Officers and Supervisors, so that organizational sales goals are achieved. They will also develop personnel and ensure proper staffing levels are maintained at all locations and that branches follow internal and external policies and regulations. Participate in the general management of the organization as member of the branch leadership team. |

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: |
| E | 30% | Accountable for achieving organizational goals and objectives for loan and new member growth through directing and monitoring retail branch operations. This work is accomplished by direct reports under your supervision. Monitors product delivery, quality of service and proactively ensures problem resolution. |
| E | 25% | Accountable for directing and achieving member service expectations, which includes leading high performing teams to excel in all facets of branch operations. E.g., consumer and home lending (loan production and referrals), MSO operations, investments (annuities and mutual funds), and phone queue operations. In addition, coaching and developing branch leaders to be market experts for a 3-5 mile radius around the branch and to ensure they meet organizational goals and objectives. |
| E | 15% | Participates in establishment of annual sales goals (in collaboration with marketing and lending) for deposit and loan products and initiates actions to achieve goals, including member experience. |
| E | 10% | Develops, proposes, and gains acceptance for and/or implements new products, programs, and policies, including service levels. |
| E | 10% | Ensures compliance with all internal and external policies and regulations and is accountable for compliance implementation and actions within branch and deposit programs. |
| N | 10% | Performs other job related duties as assigned. |

Performance Measurements: |
| 1. | Develop a cohesive and well-trained team of branch managers/branch teams who are self-motivated to become retail market experts for a 3-5 mile radius around their branch and to exceed daily department demand and long-term organizational goals of the branches. |
| 2. | Meet or exceed operational objectives with respect to sales and financial objectives for the branches including new member growth, loan production as well as cross-sale goals for core and ancillary products. |
| 3. | Provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and colleagues. |
| 4. | Monitor, report on and address trends in operations deposit services, consumer loans, and develop recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancements to products, pricing and processes. |
| 5. | Be willing to take risk to achieve employee growth and achieve business results within acceptable internal controls. |
| 6. | To stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and all credit union policies and procedures. |

Knowledge and Skills: |
|
Experience | Three years to five years of similar or related experience. |
|
|
Education | (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). |
|
|
Interpersonal Skills | The ability to motivate, influence and lead others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions. |

Other Skills | Excellent leadership capabilities, desire to take a risk, lead a sales team, technological (know your way around a PC and reporting), written and verbal communication skills. Comprehension and understanding of regulations affecting deposit programs within the Credit Union or the ability to learn, including alphabet Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD. May require a Series 6 and/or 63 license. |
