Role Overview
Manages an Operational unit within a team and is responsible for the smooth running and maximum effectiveness of a team. Manages incoming work volumes in accordance with pre-determined and agreed service standards.
Team Background
What you will help us to achieve
Co-ordinates daily work management and monitors service levels and quality standards to ensure excellent service is delivered to all customers (internal & external)
Supports the development of the business strategy relevant to a specific area of the Operations function and incorporates into objectives. Assist senior management by taking the lead and delivering results in specified business objectives.
Reviews team data to manage work volumes/distribution, planning and capacity.
Ensures the highest standards of quality, compliance and financial control in all processes and activities are carried out within the team
Identifies and delivers potential improvements in service by improving processes, systems and training
Leads, develops and motivates team members to ensure they achieve and contribute to their maximum potential
Supporting the team through change process in relation to new products, technology, regulatory requirements.
Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and represents the team manager at stakeholder meetings.
Agrees objectives and gives feedback to team members on an ongoing basis if required.

Professional qualification applicable to role
Proven ability to manage a team and strong leadership skills
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Experience working to tight deadlines and ability to lead a team to meet high quality standards
Possess a strong passion for delivering excellent customer service demonstrated through previous roles.
Proven track record of strong people management skills and an ability to develop team members
Relevant business or technical experience in an operations role
