Market Operations Inspections and Settlements team support the Commodities Trade and Carbon (CTC) and Global Markets (GM) businesses.
Our team is looking for a Senior Associate, Inventory and Receivables to join our Inspections team. This role will support the Invoice Verification, Inventory Inspection and reconciliations for our Commodities, Trade and Carbon business.
The Role.
As a Senior Associate in our Inspections team, you support our field examiners who are focussed on performing desktop and physical onsite reviews.
You will support by co-ordinating Invoice Verifications, Site Inspections, Valuations and completing Inventory Reconciliations supporting our Commodities business.
On any given day you will:
- Support field examiners with Trade Finance Invoice Verifications and Inspection activities, both on-site and desktop, across the Traditional and Structured trade facilities in the bank.
- Co-Ordinate Commodities Inventory inspections with third party suppliers.
- Interpret and analyse inspection reporting, ensuring any risks are appropriately escalated.
- Complete Commodities and Carbon Inventory reconciliations.
- Reconcile and validate supplier invoices.
- Prepare reporting, metrics and Market Operations updates for risk and business committees.
- Maintain procedures, including the complete testing & implementation of new processes/procedures.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your leaders to support business requirements and deliverables.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
Strong knowledge of Commodities, Carbon, Trade Finance or Structured Trade Finance products (including Inventory Financing), risks, mitigating actions. You will have strong prioritisation skills and will be comfortable working autonomously.
You will also have:
- Knowledge of Physical Commodities, Trade and Carbon products is ideal.
- Acute attention to detail and understanding of upstream and downstream processes.
- Ability to liaise with senior stakeholders within multiple product lines.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships, through the delivery of exceptional service.
- Understanding of risk management covering Operational Risk, Compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
- Strong ability to work effectively within a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with Inspections processes.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis.
