POSITION SUMMARY
Universal Bankers are responsible for assisting customers in multiple roles, all focused on delivering high-quality service with every transaction. Listening to our customers, establishing relationships, and serving the needs of our customers is what the Universal Banker's role is all about! Opening new accounts, conducting appropriate transactions with efficiency and accuracy, and referring customers to appropriate individuals within the bank that may serve them well are some of the ways Universal Bankers interact with customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Open accounts for new/existing customers.
- Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back, and issue receipts of deposits.
- Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices.
- Process savings withdrawals.
- Cash checks: verify endorsement, receive proper identification, and ensure validity.
- Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
- Issue Bank Money Orders and cashier’s checks; accept orders and payment and Gift Card Services.
- Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
- Balance drawer daily.
- Handle basic online banking and debit card requests (reset password, activate card).
OTHER DUTIES
The Universal Banker plays a critical role in customer engagement and retention. Expectations for this role includes an ongoing focus on building solid and long-lasting relationships by engaging all customers in a positive manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
