PRIMARY FUNCTION: On-Call Banquet Server
DEPARTMENT: Banquets
REPORTS TO: Banquet Manager
SUMMARY:
The On-Call Banquet Server plays an important role in making an event memorable for our clients, no matter if it is a wedding celebration, conference or meeting.
An ideal candidate will be a friendly, outgoing, dependable, and motivated self-starter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
- Serve food and beverage items to our clients and banquet guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
- Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the Banquet area for each event.
- Perform all side work as assigned – including polishing glassware, replenishing and restocking items, etc.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness, adhering to state and local sanitation guidelines.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer expectations.
- Maintain composure in a fast=paced environment.
- Relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate person.
- Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
- Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
- Complete other duties assigned by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- No previous experience needed.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Extreme attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to transport and lift up to 50-75 pounds on a continual basis
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
- Frequent repetitive motions, bending, stooping, kneeling, pulling and grasping.
