Job Description:

As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, and distributing tools and equipment to various departments within our organization. You will play a crucial role in supporting our day-to-day operations by ensuring that the right tools are available when needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming tools and equipment.
  • Organize and catalog tools and equipment in the tool crib.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
  • Issue tools and equipment to employees and record transactions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of tools and equipment.
  • Monitor and control tool crib access, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand their tool and equipment needs.
  • Perform periodic audits to track tool usage and identify any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are in good working condition and initiate repair or replacement when necessary.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean tool crib environment.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a tool crib or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy tools and equipment.
