Job Requirements:
Responsible for Calendaring productivity and ensuring the quality of all needle punched products that are manufactured on his/her equipment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to repair needle boards, including the removal, insertion, and cleaning of needle boards. Upon completion of each repair, he or she fills out Needle Maintenance Record card for identification. Maintains required / accurate log to monitor needle wear and replacement. Maintains needle inventory for the week/month. Responsible for the safe disposable of damaged/worn needles. Supports and implements SFC policies, procedures, work instructions, including the QMS Management System. Train new employees. Observe all Safety Rules and regulations and advise Supervision of any safety issues that need attention. Informs production Supervisor when rotation of needle boards needs to be changed out. Assists in the removal of needle boards from machines. Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as directed by Carding Manager
Responsible for the Heat Set / Calendaring productivity and quality of all products manufactured on his/her equipment. Has the responsibility of all manufacturing processes such as production, product quality, and safety. Product Operation Set-Ups must be performed as instructed through Calendar Operation Set-Up Sheets, Plant Work Orders, and Quality Plans.
Responsible for the documentation of all production and quality data as instructed, such as Heatsetter Control Charts, Time Sheets, Traveling Tickets, and Waste Reports. Supports and follows SFC policies, procedures, work instructions, including the SFC Quality Management System. Organize and clean work area daily to ensure work area is efficient and safe. Clean equipment as instructed by Supervisor. This includes product change overs, daily cleaning schedules, and any projects assigned by Supervision. Train new employees. Assist Maintenance Staff in the repair and trouble-shooting of equipment. Observe all Safety Rules and regulations and advise Supervision of any safety issues that need attention. Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as directed by Supervision.
Responsible for the Singer productivity and quality of all products manufactured on his/her equipment.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- High School diploma desired, but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing desired, but not required.
- Attention to detail.
- Good math and reading skills.
- Ability to follow directions and specifications.
- Ability to lift 50-lbs regularly.
- Ability to push or pull and “A” Frame.
