The Stars of Valor Fellowships Program is committed to honoring and acknowledging the invaluable service, sacrifice, and resilience provided by wounded or disabled veterans, Active-Duty military spouses, and Gold Star families. It presents a distinct opportunity for individuals to extend their significant contributions to America beyond their military tenure. Senate Resolution 442 (117th Congress) established the SFC Sean Cooley and SPC Christopher Horton Congressional Gold Star Family Fellowship Program, Senate Resolution 443 (117th Congress) established the McCain-Mansfield Fellowship Program, and Senate Resolution 737 (118th Congress) established the Active-Duty Military Spouses Fellowship Program. Collectively, these programs are the Stars of Valor Fellowships Program.
These fellowships are exclusively available to eligible wounded or disabled veterans, Active-Duty military spouses, and Gold Star family members who aspire to serve as paid fellows for a two-year duration within the esteemed halls of the United States Senate. Leveraging their unique perspectives, selected fellows will have the privilege of supporting Senators and their dedicated staff, helping to shape legislative agendas, and address constituents' concerns on a national scale.
