The IT Engineer provides primary IT support for all station staff, ensuring the smooth operation of computers, networks, and software used in a television broadcast environment. This role focuses on user support, troubleshooting, and system administration, while also maintaining integration between IT systems and broadcast technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
•Serve as first point of contact for IT-related support requests from newsroom, production, and administrative staff.
•Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, mobile devices, and software applications.
•Manage user accounts, permissions, and email systems in Active Directory and other platforms.
•Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating when necessary.
•Maintain local area network (LAN), Wi-Fi, and VPN access for staff and remote crews.
•Support newsroom computer systems, media storage, and other workflow-related applications.
•Ensure security updates, antivirus protection, and regular backups are performed.
•Assist with setup and support for live streams, video conferences, and remote access tools.
•Maintain documentation for IT systems, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
•Coordinate with broadcast engineering for systems that interface with IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
•Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
•Familiarity with Microsoft 365, networking basics, and remote desktop tools.
•Excellent customer service and communication skills.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
•Flexibility to provide occasional after-hours support.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in office and equipment room environments
