This leadership position is directly responsible for the quality and creative implementation of Prodigy Moves!  mobile cultural arts program throughout various counties of central Florida. The position manages all aspects of the visual and performing programming including locating partner locations, creating class offerings, ensuring proper data collection and input, and providing supervision of program staff and program vehicles. Since it is a mobile program, the candidate must be willing to travel as needed and be flexible in terms of schedule including late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The position is also responsible for Prodigy Moves! on-site programming for adults, seniors, and veterans under other different fundings. The position requires the ability to work with a diverse population of youth, parents/guardians, staff, adults, seniors in a service-oriented environment, as well as UACDC-Prodigy program partners.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Responsible for the logistics of creating mobile programming to offer Prodigy Moves!  classes and art reaches in central Florida counties.

•Works as a liaison between partner locations, program participants, parents/guardians, other programs, and Prodigy staff to facilitate them with a successful program experience, while ensuring compliance of grant requirements. 

•Develops and works with partnering organization relationships from initial introduction through the agreement process and procedures to secure future program offerings.

•Provides and/or requests information exchange with mobile partner sites/locations including preparing space use requests for Prodigy related events, such as but not limited to showcases, art exhibitions, and youth dance performances related to classes. 

•Represents UACDC-Prodigy program throughout communities where the mobile program has presence.

•Coordinates activities with UACDC contractors/1099s as it relates to Prodigy Moves!  programming every year for various grants.

•Assesses needs and ensures that program objectives are met including timely data collection and reporting.

•Oversees Prodigy Moves! budget and seeks purchase approvals for program materials. 

•Reviews and approves independent contractor invoices while communicating invoice discrepancies as indicated in contract agreements to ensure smooth payment process.

•Manages youth enrollment and attendance records both electronically and hard copy files to prepare for auditing and monitoring periods throughout the year.

•Reviews and approves employees’ time, including daily regular time in/out, sick days, vacation, etc.

•Works with Prodigy Director to conduct job interviews for Prodigy Moves! open positions.

•Manages the onboarding process for Prodigy Moves! open positions, from background screening through the completion of required training, following guided documentation provided by Human Resources.

•Works with other UACDC program staff in creating and maintaining Prodigy Moves!  programming calendar to avoid space and time conflicts.

•Assist Prodigy Program Services Coordinators in conveying program information to inquiring potential partners, participants, and parents/guardians.

•Actively participates in Prodigy program events as well as assist UACDC events when possible and as needed. 

•Reviews/approves lessons from Program Activities Coordinators and Request for Quote (RFQ) submittals to ensure content meets program requirements and expectations.

•Oversees the coordination of events with Program Activities Coordinators including recruitment events and mobile showcases.

•Works with other UACDC-Prodigy staff by participating in program advocacy efforts intended to seek diversity in funding streams.

•Responsible for Prodigy Moves! program coordination by focusing on the supervision of prompt communication related to scheduling conflicts at partnering locations.

•Serves as a point of contact for Prodigy Moves! media coverage opportunities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages staff and contractors’ relationships directly responsible for the quality implementation of the Prodigy Moves! program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees/contractors; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Requires a bachelor’s degree in the Arts, Public Relations, Social Services, Education, or Business and at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of social work/services. Prior management experience working for a non-profit organization and with youth program development is an added plus. Ideal candidate would have Prodigy and/or an arts background as well as supervisory and community outreach experience. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must have current and clean driving record. 


LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bi-lingual is an added plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to apply mathematical concepts.

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

•CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) preferred

•First Aid Training preferred

•AED (Automated External Defibrillator) preferred

•Training on all of the above is provided on the job as a requirement


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:  Familiar with learning theories, lesson planning and/or instructor training techniques, is an added plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
