We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager – Sales to lead and accelerate our sales function. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in end-to-end sales leadership, pre-sales strategy, and B2C sales execution, with a strong ability to drive business growth, build high-performing teams, and deliver customer-centric solutions. This is a senior leadership role that requires a combination of strategic planning, operational excellence, and customer engagement expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business goals and market opportunities.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from pre-sales, prospecting, and lead conversion to closure and post-sales engagement.
- Drive B2C sales initiatives, ensuring targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities.
Pre-Sales & Business Development
- Partner with pre-sales teams to design and present compelling value propositions, proposals, and demos tailored to customer needs.
- Build strong engagement with potential clients during the pre-sales phase, ensuring smooth handoff to sales and delivery teams.
- Conduct market research and support lead generation strategies to fuel the sales pipeline.
Team Management & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers, executives, and pre-sales professionals to maximize performance.
- Establish a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the sales function.
- Build and manage cross-functional relationships with marketing, operations, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with organizational objectives.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Act as the primary escalation point for high-value clients, ensuring their needs are effectively addressed.
- Enhance the customer journey by implementing structured feedback loops and leveraging insights for process improvement.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Define and monitor KPIs, sales targets, and metrics to assess team and individual performance.
- Deliver regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with sales processes, contracts, and organizational policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in sales, with significant exposure to Pre-sales, Sales, and B2C Sales.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and deliver revenue growth.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into actionable sales plans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, and dynamic market environment.
- MBA or equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred.
