About the Role:

The Manager in Training (MIT) position is designed to develop future retail leaders by providing comprehensive hands-on experience in managing store operations at our Avery Ranch location. This role focuses on equipping candidates with the skills necessary to oversee daily retail activities, lead teams effectively, and ensure exceptional customer service standards. The MIT will learn to analyze sales data, manage inventory, and implement merchandising strategies to drive store performance. Additionally, the role involves understanding and enforcing company policies, health and safety regulations, and fostering a positive work environment. Ultimately, the MIT will be prepared to transition into a full managerial role, contributing to the growth and success of the retail business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Basic understanding of retail operations and customer service principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Knowledge of sales analysis and merchandising techniques.
  • Certification in retail management or customer service training.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily store operations including opening and closing procedures.
  • Support and lead store associates to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and manage merchandising displays.
  • Analyze sales reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and coaching of new and existing team members.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement promotional campaigns and operational initiatives.
