The Customer Marketing Manager works closely with the commercial and R&D teams to identify and create programs and lead marketing projects to grow a specific segment or category through research and cross-functional collaboration. This position works with all internal departments in leading customer marketing activities & engagement. Key competencies include analytical skills, organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to clearly communicate and present MANE’s capabilities to customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Business Directors & marketing team to develop and present valuable solutions to existing and new customers, working closely with sales and applications to achieve profitable growth
- Organize and manage high-value customer engagements; recommend data-based concepts and market driven solutions for demonstration in response to customer briefs and proactive requests. Lead execution through collaboration with applications, flavor creation and other cross-functional partners.
- Manage customer/category markets, trend and customer analysis supporting customer prioritization Translates MANE’s competencies into value propositions for the business and its customers
- Identifies market opportunities and works with business leaders and sales to develop opportunities into actionable plans for business growth
- Interprets primary (Consumer Insights) and secondary market data to identify trends and develop materials for business and customer engagement
- Prepare and present growth platforms to collaborative MANE teams
- Provide customer marketing support and input on selecting global and national account cross-functional teams
- Create and co-manage ingredient collections program, where necessary, in partnership with portfolio teamwork with the marketing communications partners to develop and manage category trade communications and brand promotion programs
- Attend category relevant trade events to monitor industry trends
- Maintain close awareness of competitor activities and recommend actions as appropriate and necessary to maintain leadership advantage
- Travel expectation 15-20% depending on customer engagement and strategic direction
- Organizes market product purchases and shipments to MANE global counterparts
- Other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in Marketing or Business Management
- Minimum 4 years of marketing experience with a sales and / or marketing staff preferred
- Flavor and/or seasoning industry and market category experience
- Proven track record of creative project management and execution within a cross-functional environment
- Knowledge of new presentation formats and tools
- Computer, trade research and trade social media literate
