Job Description

The Commodity Operations Department of Riceland Foods, based in Stuttgart AR, is seeking a 2nd shift scale operator to join their team.  The applicant must be trustworthy and a self-starter with good oral and written communication skills.     

Job Duties

•    Working Hours

•    Normal Hours will be 2nd Shift 3p-11p, with Shift Differential Pay starting at 5p.

•    Overtime and Weekend Work Required as Needed. 

•    Hours worked from 5p-6a will receive a 15% shift premium. All hours worked on Saturday and Sunday will receive a 15% shift premium.

•    Qualifications

•    Computer Proficiency and Email.

•    Office Machine Utilization.  Copy, Printer, Fax, etc…

•    Able to Interact and Keep Composure with a variety of Customers, Vendors, Drivers, and Occasionally Manage Highly Stressful Situations.

•    Believer in Teamwork, Problem Solving, Creativity and Strong Work Ethics.

•    Responsibilities

•    Responsible for Operating Truck Scale Ensuring that all Inbound and Outbound Trucks are Weighed and Moved through Scale in a Timely Manner.

•    Maintain Scaling Documentation by Collecting, Reviewing, and Verifying Tickets/Paperwork.

•    Answer and Direct Phone Calls.

•    Filing and Organization of Documents as needed.

•    Maintaining a Clean Environment of CO Office and Scale Area by Vacuuming and Mopping floors, Cleaning and Stocking Restrooms, Collecting and Disposing of Trash, Cleaning Furniture…etc.

•    Any Other Duties Assigned by Management.
