Description

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a dedicated and culturally responsive Clinical Manager to lead our Asian Pacific Clinic Health Navigation team and work in close partnership with the Cultural Development & Wellness Center (CDWC) leadership to promote the wellbeing of our diverse community. This role manages a team of multilingual Health Navigators who support refugee and immigrant community members in overcoming barriers to care for chronic health issues through outreach, health education, cultural brokerage, interpretation, care coordination, and provider training. Collaborating with multidisciplinary medical, behavioral health and health navigation teams, the Clinical Manager will help reduce health disparities through integrated, trauma-informed and community-centered services. You will also co-manage behavioral health services in partnership with the Clinical Manager for the Asian Pacific Clinic and/or the Refugee Immigrant Clinic, provide guidance on Medicaid documentation, and support non-clinical staff in navigating unique community dynamics, boundary challenges and complex vicarious trauma. This is an opportunity to lead with empathy, cultural humility, and clinical expertise to make a lasting impact on underserved populations.

 

Schedule. This position will work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with some flexibility needed to cover programmatic needs, and is eligible for a hybrid model that allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in the office up to 4 days per week (including Wednesdays and Thursdays for in-person team meetings) and working from home at least 1 day per week. This schedule may be adjusted based on training, department, client, and community needs. 

 

Salary for this role.

Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.

  • Licensed Psychologist: $119,392.42 - $142,352.50 per year
  • Licensed Therapist: $79,814.59 - $109,219.97 per year

     

    Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency. 

    • Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE). 

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Manager Accountabilities: Lead employees, maintaining team focus and direction. Hire, provide performance feedback and coaching, and fire employees in accordance with organization guidance. Monitor work schedules and receive and approve requests for time off based on work volumes and staffing schedules. Communicate with external stakeholders related to team accountability. Cascade information from senior leadership to lower levels in alignment with the organization's strategy and goals. Design and implement effective group and intergroup work and communication expectations. Define and monitor group-level performance indicators. Diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups.
    • Provide and document regular clinical consultation and supervision of staff.
    • Arrange appropriate training of staff to improve clinical skills, including providing clinical supervision to therapists and other team members as appropriate, and track completion of required training.
    • Work cooperatively with all staff to provide a comprehensive range of services and ensure the smooth transition of clients from one service to another, including handling referrals and assignment of cases to Health Navigators.
    • Handle complaints from clients and community agencies efficiently and satisfactorily.
    • Develop new services to meet unmet or underserved needs in the community.
    • Oversee compliance for the program, including (but not limited to): ensuring that clinical and fiscal paperwork and online clinical records are correctly and promptly completed.

    • Interact with community agencies to improve services to clients and enhance the organization's image as a competent provider of mental health services and a committed and caring member of the community.
    • Advocate for the organization's services in the community and at the state level, as appropriate.
    • Ensure that revenues to pay for services are documented and billable by the business office and that the funding source is known to the billing office.
    • Understand and adhere to the budget for the program.
    • Staff member will complete needed care coordination tasks for their assigned role.

    Qualifications


    Requirements:

    • Master's or Doctoral degree in a license-eligible field.
    • Licensure: Current Colorado licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD). Licensure from another state is acceptable if in the process of obtaining Colorado licensure and will receive it within six months of hire.
    • Three years of experience working with the population served by the clinical area of responsibility, including administrative experience in a behavioral health setting.
    • Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
    • Treatment philosophy consistent with the organization's goals.
    • Excellent management and communication skills.
    • Trained and experienced in screening, assessment, and treatment of mental health and substance abuse concerns.

     

    Required Vaccination and TB Test.

Proof of both the flu shot and a negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.
