Hilton Pensacola BeachWe are looking for a Human Resources Administrator to support our Human Resources department. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. Your main administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
- Executes the hotel’s Talent Development strategy by planning training programs and recruiting.
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining personnel records.
- Attends any meetings that require Human Resources support.
- Assists with the organization of staff social events and activities.
- Prepares all HR documents including new hire packets and onboarding guides and SOPs.
- Ensures up to date information is fed into the internal databases with staffing salary and benefit information, recorded PTO, FMLA leave, etc.
- Assists with employee relation issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinarians, grievance, and capability.
- Developing job descriptions, interviewing, and selecting candidates, preparing personal files.
- Developing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, and absence management.
- Helps employees identify specific behaviors that will contribute to service excellence.
- Responsible for the on-the-job orientation for new hires.
- Provides staff counselling, guidance, career planning, oversees disciplinary matters up to and including dismissal, and oversees any grievance complaints made as required.
- Ensures a good understanding and knowledge of employment laws and ensuring hotel compliance.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
1. Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
3. Should be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
6. Have a strong attention to details.
7. Must be able to multi-task.
8. Must be a team player.
