What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Manage and lead Horrocks design teams to deliver transportation projects
- Develop and track scope, budget, and schedules for transportation projects to successfully deliver projects
- Solicit and manage subconsultant engineering services
- Interface with public and private sector clients including state and municipal agencies
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders
- Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources
- Manage Quality Control/Quality Assurance activities per Horrocks’ Quality Program
- Cultivate client relationships and pursue business development opportunities
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering license in AZ
- 10+ years of Project Management Experience
- Preferred 5-10 years of DOT experience
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
- Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office application
- Experience with project accounting practices and systems
- Knowledge and experience with Open Roads Designer, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
- Experience in managing technical staff and project teams
- Ability to manage several projects concurrently
