Hybrid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Instructor - Grant Funded - Harlingen School of Health Professions bei Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District

• LVN license and BLS certification.
• Graduate of accredited vocational nursing program.

Preferred:

• BSN/MSN or related advanced degree.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS).
• Teaching experience
• Experience with curriculum development, adult learning strategies, and accreditation.
• Established clinical partnerships.

• Strong communication, organizational, and tech skill

• Minimum of  2 years clinical experience.

• Support high-quality instruction aligned with the Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program curriculum, ensuring compliance with state and accreditation requirements. 

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and learning activities that support diverse student learning needs. 

• Collaborate with current campus instructors to maintain and enhance program quality, resources, and student outcomes on campus. 

• Assist in curriculum updates, lab coordination, and clinical site partnerships to strengthen the LVN program experience. 

• Lead recruitment efforts for prospective LVN students, including school visits, presentations, informational sessions, and career fairs. 

• Serve as a program ambassador to promote the LVN pathway within the school, district, and community. 

• Plan and facilitate parent engagement events to build understanding and support for the LVN program. 

• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, program updates, and opportunities for involvement. 

• Provide academic tutorials and skills remediation for incoming and current LVN students during the school year and summer sessions. 

• Develop transition and readiness activities to support student success from entry into the program through completion.

• Assist in compiling grant reports.
