This person will provide services to the students and faculty by the efficient distribution and collection of College-owned tools and supplies.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break

Qualifications:EDUCATION
- Education, training, and/or work experience which qualifies the person to perform the above duties and provides a working knowledge of terminology, tools, and equipment appropriate for trade. Required
- Diploma from technical high school or trade school. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in inventory procedures. Preferred
- Customer service experience. Preferred
- Experience with personal computers/laptops and inventory software programs Preferred
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Ability to read and to perform basic arithmetic. Required
- Developed organizational skills. Required
- Possession of a valid driver's license. Required
- Ability to drive a forklift and obtain/maintain certification if necessary. Required
- Must have training and/or certification in forklift operation or become trained/certified prior to performing forklift responsibilities. Required
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn laptop functions and industry software programs utilized in the discipline. Preferred
Responsibilities:
- Store, dispense, receive, and check tools, equipment, laptop computer stations, and instructional supplies used by faculty and students; verify that written requisitions from students, and staff correctly match item being checked in or out; verify the identity of the individuals checking out tools.
- Maintain clean and orderly arrangement of toolroom and contents and storage areas.
- Rearrange toolroom to make room for new supplies as needed.
- Maintain computer inventory of expendable supplies and notify School Office and Department Head as supplies are depleted to enable timely reordering.
- Receive and check supplies delivered by College Shipping, Receiving and Supplies.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs (e.g., parts replacement) on tools/equipment/machines.
- Promptly report loss, theft, or breakage of tools, equipment, and supplies to the Assistant Dean, Department Head, or appropriate faculty.
- Identify potential safety problems and report immediately to the Department Head and Assistant Dean.
- Identify specifications for new and replacement tools and other instructional supplies and consumables.
- Ensure toolroom access doors are secured when not in use.
- Perform annual inventory of paints, solvents, and consumables.
- Assist the Department Heads, Collision Repair and Automotive Restoration in the inventory of capitol assets.
- Maintain a donated vehicle inventory and vehicle master key file.
- Process repair orders before and after class periods.
- Coordinate the collection and removal of Hazardous Waste materials with General Services. "
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer telephone and relay messages to instructional areas as needed.
- Pick up supplies from school office as needed.
- May require some heavy lifting not to exceed 40 lbs.
- Exposure to industrial solvents and paints.
