Overview:

 

The Application Security Analyst provides technical coordination, implementation, and administration of security and access provision for all Hussmann enterprise applications. Collaborates with technical and functional staff to design and develop security structures, and provides ongoing audit and maintenance of access, managing application security to comply with Hussmann security policies and external requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Information Security consultancy across a wide range of technology issues to IT and business leaders across the enterprise to ensure that divisional and other local technology plans and solutions are in line with the Information Security requirements.

  • Work closely with the other members of the Information Security & Audit teams to ensure that consistent advice is given to the Corporation.

  • Supports all Global security application access for Hussmann employees

  • Ensures compliance of IT application security policies and procedures

  • Supports the Sarbanes Oxley Annual Access Review process & Segregation of Duties process to ensure IT Governance and Compliance

  • Administers the HIRE user account database

  • Administers application user access for new hires and terminated employees to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Participates in IT Security SOX audits

  • Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to create information security awareness within the organization

  • Participate in information security risk assessments and serves as an internal auditor for security issues for applications, database & operating systems

  • Administer information security policies and procedures for the organization, monitoring compliance and referring problems to the appropriate manager

  • Special assigned projects as needed with continuous focus on process improvement

 

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of applicable experience or a combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems is preferred. 

  • 1 year of relevant application security administration experience preferred

  • 1 year experience with General IT Computer Controls preferred

  • General experience with security methodologies and monitoring

  • Solid capabilities working to plan and meet deadlines

  • Sound understanding of general business processes

  • General understanding of IT and applications

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft O365, Active Directory and end user applications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience being proactive in overcoming barriers to prevent problems from occurring/recurring

  • Strong project management & program management skills

  • Exceptional customer servicing qualities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate and facilitate discussions to understand and resolve problems, needs and desires of the customer

  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT security issues and products as required

  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Highly self-motivated and directed

  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity
