Job Description:

Summary:

The Temporary Research Assistant will have responsibility of working in collaboration with Rodney Hopson, Interim Dean on proposals and funded projects related to his research and evaluation interests and working with the SOE pre-awards and post-award research team. 

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct literature reviews. Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, including knowledge of statistical and/or computer assisted qualitative data analysis software.

  • Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary, and summarize interviews. Manage and respond to project related emails and summarize project results.

  • Assist in collecting data and/or conducting independent research on assigned topics. Participate in team project meetings with AU faculty member(s) and other partners to give updates on findings and discuss areas for future research.

  • Contribute to the development of manuscripts and/or journal article submissions, as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a temporary part-time position.

  • Continuation of the program/position is contingent upon external funding.

Salary Range:

  • $20.00 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
