The Regional Fuel Pricing Manager is responsible for all pricing decisions within a given region. They guide a team of Fuel Pricing Analysts to ensure optimization of volume and margin within a given area while also maintaining store support center wide alignment with volume/margin goals. In collaboration with Store Operations, works to identify market level trends and the supply chain team to lower product cost in order to maximize net fuel contribution. In partnership with the Director, the Regional Fuel Pricing Manger is responsible for leading Fuel Price Optimization that utilizes third party software, third party demand data and competitor pricing data to execute pricing decisions within the centralized pricing function.
- Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture within the Fuel Team, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values.
- Develop and coordinate daily fuel pricing strategies for assigned region and ensure proper execution and refinement of strategies and tactics.
- Establish business plans for the Company’s operating area to compete locally, regionally and nationally.
- Analyze sites under construction and new sites to identify opportunities to shorten ramp up time estimated per financial models.
- Work with Store Operations and Analysts to identify optimal competitor makeup for fuel price surveys.
- Oversee team execution of fuel pricing strategies for new stores while suggesting and executing variations of strategy based on volume, margin and competitor response.
- Analyze industry and competitor fuel demand trends and correlate with Casey’s sites.
- Provide near term and long-term volume trends to leadership team with action plans to improve performance, as needed.
- Support Director, Retail Fuel with bottom-up budgeting process for sales and volume for assigned group of stores.
- Partner with operations personnel to identify opportunities to enhance pricing tactics and offset uncontrollable factors eroding volume.
- Identify opportunities to maximize total contribution from secondary products including midgrade, premium, diesel and higher blends of ethanol.
- Keep abreast with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to retail fuel pricing.

Compensation:
Starting pay range: $97,800 - $129,990. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
