Position: Office Assistant - High School
Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED
- Some experience in general clerical work desired.
- Ability to interact effectively with staff, students, parents, and visitors required.
- Bilingual preferred but not required
Employment: 8 hrs per day, (10 month position, work teacher days + 7 days before/after school year)
Salary: $16.32 - $17.54 (17.54 - $19.17 if bilingual in English/Spanish) per hour, starting, depending on experience

A. Education Level: |
- High School Diploma - Post Secondary training is desired, especially if related to job. |
B. Certification/Licensure: |
- None Required. - First Aid/CPR certificate desired. |
C. Experience Desired: |
- Some experience in general clerical work. |
D. Other Requirements: |
- Effective oral and written communication skills. - Knowledge of English, spelling, and math. - Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. - Skill in operation of standard office equipment (i.e. computer literacy and keyboarding skills). - Ability to make computations and tabulations with speed and accuracy. - Ability to deal effectively with staff, students, parents and visitors. |

Designated faculty member(s) and building administrator. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: |

- Work involves performance of general and varied clerical tasks which follow well established procedures. Some tasks require the ability to work independently. Work may be reviewed for content and accuracy upon completion. Operation of an alphanumeric keyboard is an integral part of the essential |

1. Demonstrates the ability and willingness to perform and fulfill assigned duties as designated by the supervisor. 2. Types and files reports, correspondence, and other materials, including orders. 3. Operate data entry devices to post information to computer files and produce reports from files. 4. Answer phone, distribute appropriate mail, and possibly perform reception duties. 5. Operate photocopying equipment and machines in media center. 6. Some postions may require working with students. 7. Perform related work as required. |
