Advance your career in the Maryland/DC region! Join our expanding Division of Obstetric Anesthesiologists at the University of Maryland. We are seeking board-eligible or board-certified MD/DO anesthesiologists to support our continued growth. OB fellowship training is preferred. Our campus is a Level 4 Maternal Care Center with a moderate delivery volume (~2,000 annually) and a high-acuity case mix. Recognized as a SOAP Center of Excellence for eight consecutive years, we are staffed 24/7 by dedicated OBA faculty with no external clinical obligations. Responsibilities include providing exceptional clinical care and to teach learners at all levels, including SRNAs, medical students, residents, and fellows.
Our team is dedicated to helping faculty obtain outstanding skills and additional certifications in ultrasound, simulation, quality/safety/clinical research and expertise in many other disciplines. Our department has a very strong research profile (#10 national 2023 Blue Ridge Ranking) as well as a perioperative data warehouse with resources to facilitate clinical research. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.
