DRP/IA Coordinator

The DRP/IA Coordinator is responsible for auditing and evaluating auto repair estimates and appraisals from partner repair shops and independent appraisers. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, accuracy in damage assessments, and the overall integrity of the claims process. The auditor will work closely with the claims team, repair shops, and independent appraisers to maintain quality and control costs.



Essential Job Functions: 

  • Review, audit and make changes to repair estimates and appraisals submitted by partner repair shops and independent appraisers

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of damage assessments and cost estimates

  • Compare estimates with industry standards and guidelines to identify discrepancies

  • Ensure all estimates adhere to company policies, insurance regulations, and industry standards

  • Monitor compliance with contractual agreements between the organization and repair shops/appraisers

  • Collaborate with partner repair shops and independent appraisers to clarify estimate details and resolve discrepancies

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the claims team and management

  • Prepare detailed severity reports highlighting findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for improvement

  • Track estimate changes/trends and follow up on corrective actions taken by repair shops and appraisers

  • Identify trends and areas for improvement in the estimating process

  • Provide feedback and training to repair shops and independent appraisers to improve estimate accuracy and compliance

  • Utilize auditing and estimating software to conduct thorough evaluations

  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and tools in auto repair and estimate writing

  • Perform other duties as assigned



Experience/Qualifications: 

  • Certification from a recognized auto repair or appraisal organization (e.g., ASE, I-CAR) is advantageous.

  • Proven experience in auto damage assessment, auditing, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of auto repair processes, insurance regulations, and industry standards.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in auditing and estimating software tools.

Physical Actions/Environment: Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions. 


Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 annually based on experience


Schedule: Full-Time; Mondays – Fridays, 8:30am-5pm


Location: Detroit, MI or Princeton, NJ
