TITLE: Simulation Operations Coordinator
STATUS: Full-time
Summary of Position:
The Simulation Operations Coordinator is responsible for the daily management and technical operations of the simulation lab to support high-quality experiential learning for students enrolled in the Practical Nurse (PN) program. This role ensures that all simulation equipment, scenarios, supplies, and technologies are effectively prepared, maintained, and operated to meet curriculum goals and support student success.
Supervisor responsibilities: 2–3 part-time simulation team members.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare, set up, and dismantle simulation scenarios using manikins, task trainers, moulage, and medical equipment
- Operate and troubleshoot simulation technologies
- Ensure that the learning environment is realistic, organized, and aligned with learning objectives
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment; manage ordering and restocking
- Schedule and conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs of simulation equipment
- Responsible for evaluation, implementation, and integration of new simulation technologies to enhance student learning and faculty teaching
- Lead the onboarding, training, and support of faculty and staff on newly acquired technologies
- Assist in preparing reports, policies, and budget recommendations related to simulation
- Serve as a committee member as assigned
- Mentor students
- Responsible for student evaluations and assessments
- Responsible for collection of data related to simulation
- Creation and implementation of innovative simulation technologies within the curriculum

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an NLNAC-approved Nursing School
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current PA licensure as Registered Professional Nurse without restrictions
- Current CPR Certification
- Completion of at least one (1) year of experience facilitating simulation preferred
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within six (6) months of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience involving direct client care or teaching
- Satisfactory criminal record check and child abuse history clearance
- Satisfactory immunization for rubella, rubeola, varicella, and mumps, Tdap, PPD, seasonal flu vaccination, and COVID-19 vaccination
- Completion of a series of three (3) Hepatitis B vaccinations or signed waiver
Physical Requirements:
- Requires lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and handling of technology and medical equipment
- Sitting or standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to navigate multiple flights of stairs several times per day
