Position Responsibilities:

·       The PA will be involved in the healthcare of neurosurgery patients at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Supervising Physician shall delegate only tasks and procedures to the PA that are within the supervising physician's scope of practice or setting.

·       The decision to permit the PA to perform a test or procedure under direct or indirect supervision is made by the Supervising Physician based on reasonable medical judgment regarding the probability of morbidity and mortality to the patient. The Supervising Physician must be certain that the PA is knowledgeable and skilled in performing the tasks and procedures assigned.

·       This patient care will be performed under direct or indirect supervision as determined by the Supervising Physician and associates who are medical staff members.

Qualifications:

·       Florida License required, Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants desired; CPR Certification

·       Associate Degree with PA license; Bachelor's Degree preferred

·       Previous PA experience preferred.
