E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S
- Works with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to address needs of medical staff.
- Works with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to develop and update medical staff growth plan.
- Serves as the senior physician leader for the medical team and assists in their professional development.
- Works with physicians and administrative leaders to develop performance improvement initiatives and communicates these initiatives to all staff.
- Works with CNO and Quality Director to drive clinical quality improvement as evidenced by an annual plan approved by the Board Quality Committee.
- Works with Chief of Staff, Department Chairs, Medical Directors and other physician leaders to improve quality of care and to promote medical staff participation in furthering the mission and vision of IMH.
- Acts as a liaison between physicians, staff and administration with a goal of growing and strengthening community physician relations.
- Informs administration of medical activities plans and progress and of current developments in medical science.
- Serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team and assists in strategic development of initiatives and programs.
- Regularly attends all relevant medical staff meetings and board meetings where appropriate. Serves as ex-officio member of all medical staff committees and administrative committees that significantly affect the medical staff or patient care.
- Serves approximately 75% of time in specialty clinical service line.
- Other duties as assigned.
E D U C A T I O N
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine required.
E X P E R I E N C E
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a practicing physician required.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in directing medical operations required.
- Progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting required.
C R E D E N T I A L S
- Must have active membership in appropriate national and regional medical associations.
- Must have a current, valid MD or DO license for the State of Wyoming, and must be in good standing with the Board.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to act as an agent of change.
- Must have the ability to work closely with physicians, elected officials, members of the public, and co-workers, especially in areas of program development.

- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.

- Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
- Ability to learn new computer software programs.
- Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
