Makeready is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager - Hospitality Openings to lead the coordination and execution of a new construction hotel and social club opening. This role is pivotal in ensuring all operational, design, and brand standards are met while delivering a seamless pre-opening and launch experience. The ideal candidate will bring hospitality expertise, project management skills, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

 

Requested Tasks

  • Project Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams through the pre-opening timeline, ensuring alignment across operations, design, construction, marketing, and ownership.
  • Timeline & Milestone Management: Develop and manage detailed opening schedules, tracking progress and proactively resolving delays or issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact between Makeready leadership, property leaders, contractors, vendors, and ownership groups.
  • Operational Readiness: Ensure all Makeready department head achievements of key operational milestones on time and on budget, including but not limited to hotel systems setup, staffing plans, training programs, and service standards, etc.
  • Budget Oversight: Support Makeready & property finance leaders with pre-opening budget & expenditures monitoring.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth opening process.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, key milestones, and critical issues.

 

Requested Capabilities

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality project management, hotel openings, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of successfully opening new hotel properties or hospitality venues.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with independent hotel brands or lifestyle hospitality concepts preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support on-site coordination.
